Location: West Village
Size: 600 sqft 2-bdrm rental
Word of mouth is the only way to get an apartment in this building. It's rent-stabilized and a wonderful find for Andrea.
The apartment has most of its original old-world charm, including molding, and lots of space.

Andrea has inherited a lot of great family heirlooms, including lamps, dressers, and even a few 1940's dresses worn by her grandma. She has tried to integrate each piece into her slightly modern leaning style, creating a great eclectic and vibrant feel for the apartment.
As much as Andrea has enjoyed moving in and experimenting with her new space, she is very open to new ideas and welcomes comments from our esteemed and knowledgeable peanut gallery.
My Style: urban classic meets treasures from the last century
Inspiration: family heirlooms (lingerie dresser, upholstered chairs, alarm clock, 30s lamps and graphics), modern classics and urban hip (which I'm missing at the moment but would love to find some inspiration for the walls)
Favorite Element: The apartment itself – the light, the quiet and the turn of the century details (French doors, moldings, and glass transoms).
Biggest Challenge: Finding the "perfect" affordable art, wall decoration and paint colors, and making decisions so I can move forward with pieces I need (new rug & coffee table in the living room, window treatments, dressers and rug in the "dressing room," storage for the office/guest room and under the TV, etc.).
Biggest Embarrassment: the clutter beneath the television and the "junk room" which needs work to make it usable and presentable as a "dressing room."
What Friends Say: : feel instantly comfortable and at home
Best advice: Be inspired with pieces from your past and integrate them with modern classics that anchor the space.
Proudest DIY:a small thing: rewiring all the old lamps
Biggest Indulgence my new sofa
Dream source: high end mid century stores along 25th street and nearby.
