This design for a martini glass keeps the function but really switches up the form. The glasses have lost their stems completely, inverting into a low tumbler-shaped shell...
The glasses are mouth blown and come in a set of two at Charles and Marie for $55. (Via: Crib Candy.)

This is probably actually a great step forward because I'm pretty sure everyone thinks traditional martini glasses are horrible to drink from!! (some bartenders only serve martini's in tumblers because they are so difficult)
I love the shape of a regular martini glass. Cocktails served in stemware feel more festive to me. Drinking from a functional tub deflates the experience.
These are cool. I think they're more festive than just a plain tumbler. And they're unusual, so I think that would add to the "experience."
I'll be the first to say: Ugly
i think they're fun, but i'd be concerned about the thick rounded lip that you sip from. i like the clean thinness of good quality stemware.
What I like about a regular martini glass, in theory at least, is the fact that when people are drinking them, it takes a certain amount of sobriety to keep from spilling them, so they tend to stop before they spill. Me, I'll stick to my red wine, actually, I only think these are KIND of pretty.
I think that this is an interesting idea. It's certainly worth a try and it would certainly be a conversation piece.
Looks like a funnel. Seeing it reminds me that I should check the oil in my car's engine, not shake up a martini.
Cool idea.
i thought at first the that you could put ice in the bottom part, so that the last sip of your martini would be as bracing as the first.
