• Origami Butterfly Wall from Critters and Crayons: With lots of different options for origami creations (think cranes, frogs, or fish), you can create a swarm of colorful creatures like this butterfly wall.
• Paper Airplane Canvas Collage from Heather at Brie Brie Blooms for Mom Endeavors: A triptych of canvases and a real paper airplane create a simple and clean (and easy!) statement in a kid's room.
• Nail and String Letters from JKJK: We've seen nail and string letters before, and they are perfect for adding a monogram to a wall. Or, if you are ambitious, create a whole name or use an inspiring word.
• Decoupage Letters from Sarah Yewman: If string and nails aren't your thing, choose your child's favorite hobby (sports, comic books, princesses, or fairies?) and decoupage the first letter for his or her name.
• Pencil Wall Art from Home Made Simple: Hang this giant pencil (made from a mailing tube) over your kid's study space for inspiration or a giggle.

Nomade Express Slee...
I love 3D art on walls! My very inexpensive idea is to find a nice branch that's fallen off a tree (down the block, in the rain, and when I was late and had to run home...) and make it into a mobile. I fixed it to the wall with the half-oval metal clips that usually are used in between a picture and a frame. They had little indents that fit nails perfectly. I strung origami birds on thread so that they really look like they are flying from far away. Very sweet until my son figured out how to pull it down!
I made a 3D solar system for my nephew: styrofoam balls (cut in half), applied drywall mud to create texture/shell, painted, applied glow in the dark paint. Hung around the room.
I made 3D polka Dots for my niece: styrofoam and cardboard circles, (applied drywall mud to styrofoam circles for a shell), paint, spray adhesive, glitter. Very happy 7 year old.
Origami wall: have fun dusting that.
Thank you for featuring our origami butterfly wall art! :) What a wonderful surprise!
