Love the off-center shelf, but it looks like someone might bonk his/her head getting up in the morning.
What I really like, though, is that floor arrangement which I imagine contains living papyrus. What an elegant alternative to flowers (provided you have good light)! I'd love to do something like this if the cats didn't bite everything strap-leaved... I have a smaller but similar cyperus on a pedestal, and the cats will stand on another nearby planter to try to pull those pompom heads down into their mouths.

do you mean the third photo down? i love that plant; it's definitely a papyrus? i'm trying to think of good apartment plants and trees. i'm in boston and my apartment is VERY warm and dry, although my bedroom has good light. will it grow, or is it doomed because of the climate?
