Check out these bold-patterned bathroom walls from House Beautiful, pictured above.
Striped walls have a fun, circus-y effect, while a floral wallpaper feels ultra-feminine and luxurious. A wallpaper like Hinson's Spatter (last photo) is a little bit whimsical but also edgy. And a bathroom wall decked out in an elaborate mosaic, be it a traditional tile pattern or an unexpected stripe, comes across as artful and creative.
There's something to be said, of course, for the idea of a bathroom as a calming sanctuary, where swathes of white or pale colors encourage relaxation. What do you think? Do you prefer a bathroom with bold strokes or one that's functional and spare?

Sprout Side Table
personally, i am a fan of colour, and a bathroom is a perfect place to experiment with something a little wilder. i keep dreaming of a kelly green bathroom for some reason. we'll see if it happens.
Really like the first two. If anyone knows where to get the mirrors in the first one, I would love to know.
i second the love for those mirrors! although as main mirrors in the bathroom i'd prefer something bigger, but these are just darling
Ooh, that first one is really cool.
I'm not sure if this mirror - the Elizabeth Mirror from Ballard Designs - is exactly the same, but it's quite similar: http://www.ballarddesigns.com/Wall-Decor/Mirrors/All-Mirrors/Elizabeth-Mirror/p/11926?path=1%2C2%2C1468%2C1541%2C2513&iProductID=11926.
