Flowers bring life and a breath of fresh air to a home, that's part of why we buy flowers during for the Cure. But the colors in flowers and in bouquets are also natural color families. This means that all the colors are harmonious and could be applied to a room or a whole house. Jump below to see a room that could have been inspired by the above bouquet!

If you apply the 80/20 color rule to the color family that exists in these beautiful bouquets you have a great palette for a room. The 80/20 color rule, simply put, is that in any room 80% should be a neutral color and 20% a more intense color. Following this rule will keep a room from being boring or from being way too much.

You can see with the image uptop how the orange and green from the bouquet, if used sparingly in a mainly neutral room, bring the feeling of the bouquet into the room without overwhelming it with color.

Have you used naturally occurring color palette's in your own home?

Both of these images are from the absurdly beautiful housemartin blog and ink and peat store.
