We are known for collecting way too much junk. One of the things that we can't seem to let go off are catalogs with beautiful interiors. The clothes, shoes, or jewelry might be beautiful as well, but we keep them as an inspiration for some gorgeous spaces. Check out a few of our favorites after the jump:
We have a stack of Anthropologie catalogs that we refer to for decorating ideas, colors, and furniture captured in some beautifully stylized photographs. We have also started collecting Toast catalogs for the same reasons.

We tend to discard the ones that come from retailers that specialize exclusively in interior design, furniture, and home accessories. They seem too staged and dry. We want something lived in, that has a home like feel to it. Maybe the mood is what we are after. What catalogs do you keep?

Which catalogue is that first picture from? I love that bedding.
The bedding looks like it would be Anthropologie did not see it in the catalog. Their last catalog with the stairwell has to be one of the best ones.
I love Toast, I have shopped there the clothes are such great quality. If I had the money I would by their home things for sure.
i tend to hold on to FLOR catalogs. The furniture sitting on top of those rugs is exquisite.
Yep. Did not see the bedding at anthropologie. Where did it come from!?
the bedding is definitely Anthropologie. That set is on clearance now. Check the sale section of the site. And there is that peacock feather scroll they are also selling. (And the headboard, and the throw pillow...)

I took Maxwell's advice, cancelled all my catalogs, and am happier for it.
OK, full disclosure: I still get DWR.
But then it goes in the recycling.
I only keep the catalogs that have things I have a chance in hell of being able to afford, which would be IKEA, CB2 and West Elm.
the put catalogs on line now. you don't need the print version.
