Upon searching for an artwork series for our kitchen and bathroom, I was quite taken with these handmade constellation embroideries. I imagine that they would work perfectly as is, for a quilt, or for a large scale art piece.

Diana, of Dan & Diana and Oliver!, details the process of creating one-of-a-kind, embroidered art pieces on her blog. Definitely take a look at the steps to creating your own handmade, folksy art series! It is worth the time and energy for original (and cheap!) art pieces.

I love this. I would totally put a collection of these in my bedroom. Anyone know where you could print out constellation patterns for free? It seems like it shouldn't be too hard to find...
Actually they're not really Diana's "one of a kind" constellation embroidered art pieces. On the blog it says she "borrowed" the design from the etsy seller Miniature Rhino, who does sell how-to kits. It looks like she is currently out of town, but there are pictures of the original constellation design on Miniature Rhino's blog.
It would be nice if you could amend the post to give credit to the original artist. It is sited on Diana's blog.
This is exactly like Miniature Rhino's Zodiac embroidery kits! She was recently featured on Design Sponge and her kits are for sale at Purl Soho, she's pretty well exposed for a copy-cat project to be featured on something as prominent as AT. This is really not okay.
I really love the embroidery work that Coral and Tusk does.... imaginative, humorous and truly beautiful. check it out at coralandtusk.com
