We love a great book display. (Remember the custom-made book display in Oscar's nursery tour?) It's the best way to store books for young children, but it also can be a great feature for your home.
We're so inspired by this corner library custom built of pinewood. It's the perfect addition for an empty corner. The book display shelves add interest and color to an otherwise empty corner without taking much floor space. The floor-to-ceiling design means it can hold lots of books. Notice the homeowner even arranged the books by color.
Tonight look around your home and see if any corners could become a future library.

This looks great! (and I thought I was the only one who organizes my daughter's books by color.)
nice.
I want to incorporate this into my home ASAP! It looks fantastic!
I love that!
This is such a fantastic idea! I wish I would have thought of it!
Very cool looking. But how does a kid get to the books on the top shelf?
What a great idea! I'm in the process of putting together the nursery for our baby so I'm going to see if this would be a possibility. thanks!
Hooray! I've been wanting to do this in a corner that's tucked between a closet and a window ever since seeing Max's homemade bookshelf.

I've also thought about lining our long hallway with this kind of bookshelf, but wonder if it would stick out too far.
Thanks so much for sharing!
It looks really nice, but to siobhan's point, no they won't be able to get to the top three shelves and what's worse, they will use the rungs to climb - so those better be really sturdy! :) I would want to have a kid safe step stool or ladder around.
LOVE THIS!!!
I gave it a thumbs up in stumble upon!
how did they do this? I want to build one.
twomorning did you figure out how to make this shelve. I look at posts often in hopes that someone has figured out how to make this.
