Summer is right around the corner which means we're all spending a lot more time outdoors. Sunset is such a magical time of the day and there isn't much that can compare to the beauty of a setting sun. The colors are explosive and incredibly inspirational. One of the most widely used colors from the horizon: orange!
Orange is a popular color in interior design because it's relatively easy to use in small doses. Something as small as an orange vase can actually make an incredibly large impact in a room that doesn't have much color in it. Eyes will immediately be drawn to the bright color because it demands attention!
Big or small, it doesn't matter — use an orange accent chair in the living room for a dramatic effect or a retro lamp in the bathroom. An orange duvet cover can be the perfect pop of color the bedroom is looking for, particularly if the rest of the color palette is purposely muted.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Go big or go home. We bought a huuuge orange rug :)
I prefer the clear yet saturated oranges.
Love orange! Especially when it's paired with turquoise!!
wow wallpaper in that first picture.
All of the elements in that first pic are so not my style but I love the way it all came together. Neat!
I, too, see the green wallpaper as a major wow!
And I love the orange with turquoise room--a little bit of orange really does nothing for me. I like to see it make a statement.
I remember orange being popular back in 2005/06 during the chocolate brown and blue craze. Reminds me of a showhouse I did for the company I first worked for. http://twitpic.com/553ccp
I'm excited to see it popular again, yet in a fresher and more unexpected palette.
Love this post. Orange can be such a great accent color.
I'm diggin' this post!
Our home has enormous orange accent walls in the high-ceilinged master bedroom and bathroom. LOVE <3
