With the sweltering heat Washington experienced this past weekend, these cool toned rooms are looking especially appealing— the visual equivalent to a cold glass of lemonade!
Although the color combination is about as classic as they come, crisp blues and whites look as stunning in modern spaces as in their traditional counterparts. The combo lends a refreshing edge to both spare and maximalist rooms.
Although many often associate blue and white with coastal homes, the combination is certainly sophisticated and versatile enough to grace a variety of styles and environments especially when a variety of patterns are used in layers.
Which is your favorite?

Where is that rug from in the third picture? I LOVE it!
To me, Blue and White is at it's best when it's balanced with neutral/caramel tones: Wood, Rattan, Leather...
...such as in pix 3 and 9
eesh. it's all a little to precious for me.
The only thing better than blue and yellow is blue and white. I love.
MarianneT - It's Neisha Crosland's
Tudor Rose Blue for The Rug Company I love it in this setting too!
Does anyone know what shade of blue that is in picture #9? Or if anyone knows something similar? Thanks!
