Think croquet games, sailboat races, argyle sweaters, and Oxford shirts. Coordinated style with a crisp, refined edge — these are rooms that would do any Bunny or Chip proud! (As for me? Well, you’ll find me in #9, plumping the pillows, sipping my gin and tonic, and perusing the J Crew catalog…)
1. Like a grosgrain ribbon belt, a wall of grassy green stripes pulls together a collection of white cotton seating.
2. Sun-sational salmon mixed with shades of pink calls to mind long Vineyard days and summers on the Cape.
3. A classic preppy combination. Pink and green take a walk on the glamorous side.
4. Regatta bound. Boat sails and ocean breezes inspire a soothingly cheerful room.
5. Reminiscent of a closet full of button-downs, this dining room is dressed in its feminine, pin-stripy best.
6. Sunshiny stripes provide the perfect shade for Muffy (and Mitzy)!
7. A modern design with preppy, pastel roots.
8. Sherbet colors and refined prints capture the essence of contemporary country club style.
9. Sun-bleached citrus hues set the tone in this (almost) perfect, symmetrical bedroom.
10. Like a party tent, awning stripes define the space and act as a fitting backdrop for a prized family portrait (of Uncle Schnauzer).

I spy Laduree....
#9 definitely caught my eye first. I like the different nightstands but same lamps. Also like the stripes in #10. It's like an illusion, making the ceiling look taller.
This isn't my style (it's not that far off though, honestly), but these rooms make me so happy! I'd love the guest bedroom in #4!
Love #3.... that green was what I was going for in my dining room but it ended up a bit more neon... it's been a few years so maybe it's time to re-paint?? :)
Just aweful !! Horrible colors and the stripes look like the yellow brick road on acid, and NOT 'whimsy' as described above. Just because this is shown on Apartment Therapy, this should'nt be considered 'interior design' worthy! It's terrible and that's putting it mildly. Apartment Therapy should apologize for this horrible mistake!!
"Crochet" games? Really? With the little hooks?
Half of those rooms would be greatly improved by equipping someone with a Wagner power sprayer and a barrel of white paint.
perfida - Thanks for catching the typo. Your comment made me laugh... imagine if it was with little hooks?!
