The garage might be one of the best rooms to pull inspiration from. It's a small space so it needs to be well organized. It gets plenty of wear and tear so pieces have to be functional yet sturdy. And it has built-in industrial charm. If you're into that.

i def like elements of "garage style"! The scrumptious Fatty's restaurant in Eagle Rock is one of my fav examples.
Garage style encompasses the most basic 'form-follows-function' Modernist creed, which makes it eminently appropriate for living spaces.
I love the notion of garage doors all over the home-- what a useful idea! (Imagine how much easier moving-day would be.)
that corner of motor city bar is where i sat for my going-away party (appropriately, i was moving from new york to detroit). i love the decor there... but then, i love detroit ;)
LOOOOVE #1... open up the door and be IN the garden! Perfection!
