"Big New Old" series by Jordi Closa
Behance, like Coroflot, is a social networking site that focuses on showcasing the portfolios of creatives across the design spectrum: graphic, interior, industrial, and so on. We spent some time looking around for inspiration this morning, and discovered a wide variety of fantastic, personalized pieces of furniture...

Above, Portia Wells' "Slipcover Chair" is essentally a simple wood box, designed to accomodate slipcovers of varying styles: chippendale, eames, shaker, metal folding chair.

This sideboard is taken from Jordi Closa's Big New Old collection of hand-painted, customized throw away pieces. More photos here.

Two chairs by Evalula, whose over-the-top, themed pieces take names like Neruda and Frida Kahlo.

Fabian Kanz' aptly titled 294 Liter Sitzen is constructed using 294 tetra paks.

These remind me of the chairs in the Little Golden Books version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, illustrated by Fyodor Rojankovsky.
