She may be the queen of handbags and all things preppy, but it was the interior details that wowed us. Now, these are ideas we can use!
1. Stripes are fresh and fun when applied in a slightly worn fashion to a foyer floor. Double style points for continuing them inside, and up the stairs!
2. Fabulous old non-working fireplace? Fill it with your favorite books, and add warmth and character to an otherwise black hole. Fanatic about font? Stencil stools with interesting idioms and scatter about them your space.
3. Contemplating reupholstering? Nubbly knits are cozy and au courant. (And rainbow buttons are just too cool for words!)

Shaw's Original Fir...
nice ideas.. except the books in the fireplace..
I don't think Kate Spade has anything to do with the company anymore. http://nymag.com/fashion/10/spring/63806/
Bit of a book burning vibe, but cute in theory.
The colored buttons are very nice though :)
Thanks for the link pivaroni. I came to say the same thing; as I was reading the article, I kept getting caught up at the references to the company as a specific woman.
I love Kate Spade accessories and clothes (actually everything but most of their bags), and that couch is AMAZING!
Cute buttons.
Anyone have any idea how to add buttons like in the first pic to a sofa back that doesn't have dettachable pillows? I love the tufted look - but don't want to ruin my sofa!
Those buttons make me hungry for M&Ms.
Bloackandwhite, I would call an upholsterer. You would have to CAREFULLY remove the back fabric panel of the sofa to add buttons. Something like this is best left to a pro.
Thank you, Comicgeek!
Debra Lloyd is now the woman behind Kate Spade. She's the creative director now. At first, Liz Claiborne tried to turn the company into a Claiborne type entity which didn't really work. With a new creative director, the brand looks back to Kate Spade as it was before. Therefore Kate Spade is the inspiration and sort of the woman behind the brand.
Those buttons are adorable. This would be a nice way to jazz up some plain, neutral throw pillows.
I love kate spade new york! I did my closet inspired by their shop.

Now that I see this pop-up, I may have to do my whole house!
