Small Spaces month is officially upon us and while we aren't quite sure exactly how small this space is, it definitely is cool. Belonging to English author Josie Curran, this home incorporates layers of texture (she has an amazing rug collection) and appropriate pops of pink. And when we say "living on the river Thames"...

...we mean it! Josie's home is actually a houseboat. And while it can't be driven around, it does have a hull and is anchored in place around an island with a community of about 40 other houseboats. The home was a happy compromise when Josie and her boyfriend decided they wanted to "escape the rat race" but couldn't quite swallow moving to the burbs.

Oh goodness, this doesn't help my houseboat obsession one bit. :) Beautiful home
OMG, this is just too cool. supposedly, it's completely wired too. wow!
Living on the water is my dream. On what part of the Thames do they live? Probably a tad frosty in winter, but I love it.
good god. sooo airy and light and colorful and and and i just want to sit on that deck and have my morning coffee.
It appears to be a delightful home!
Wow. My hubby and I are also obsessed with houseboats at the moment. I only wish there had been an exterior shot. So gorgeous!
This is the Thames? But i see palms and banana trees outside her living room??
Ugh. I die. Beautiful space....airy and feminine but not overboard. I would love to relax in this space.
Love it! Unfortunately my love for boat houses is hampered by the local moorage fees. It runs about $800 a month here. Still love the house though.
