Here at AT, we're always going on about how wonderful and fantastic it is to live with color. That's very true, and we decorate our interiors with the same philosophy in mind: color, color, color. With that said, perhaps we haven't given enough attention to the calmer palette of neutrals.
On Design Public's Hatch blog, Becky shared with us photos from Thom Filicia’s portfolio, and we fell in love with the gorgeous neutral palettes that both photos used.

Perhaps it's time for AT to have a Neutrals contest?
I've been contemplating a change to more neutrals (beige, white and wood) from my current scheme of greys, blues, white and shots of red. I've actually purchased new curtains in natural and created a vignette in shades of white and cream on a mahogany game table. More to follow.
I like neutrals, but I secretly suspect neutral rooms need to be pristine to look good, and that otherwise, the room can turn into a bland mess. Anyone have tips for non-minimalists who are thinking of going neutral?
