While we love our mid-century modern here on AT, we love it when we find inspiring spaces that are quite the opposite. Eclectic rooms with their own rules, Neville and Sharon show off their old world style that reads cozy and charming...
Probably our favorite spot of Neville and Sharon's space is this surprising entryway. Oversized framed art above an antique chest of drawers heightens the sense of drama.
Two toned green walls on top and a muted red painted on the bottom half of the walls--while untraditional seems appropriate. We love the oversized chairs that flank the fireplace and the large rugs that span the space of the room.
The bold red, velvet settee amidst a backdrop of black, again adds an bit of drama. We also love the red drapes that distinguish the living room from the dining room, making the large space feel cozy and inviting.
Teal green, white and dark brown are one of our favorite color combos. Throw in assorted vases and antique drawings and this vignette is one we'd like to imitate.

I love the big mirror in the bathroom, but keeping it free of water spots from the open shower must be brutal. This apartment could not be further from my style, but it is interesting and there are definitely elements I like. The big photo of the dancers in the entryway is charming.

love the look (oh, the floor!) and idea of the bathroom, but I agree about the water spots with that open shower. I also really like the dancer photo-- a lot of people are afraid to commit to such a large piece of art or think you need a giant wall to display it.

I have seen many "eclectic" homes, that try to be eclectic, without any real understanding, or really worthwhile "chotchkes". This is the real thing. With a real curator.

I love the colors in the bathroom (what a floor!), but the open shower freaks me out. I experienced a couple of those while on a trip to Europe and it was soooo not enjoyable.

The bathroom rocks my socks off. That's exactly what I've been dreaming about for my home.
This is definitely not my style, looking at the home I became slightly depressed only because it seems like such a nostalgic place and nostalgia effects me in a strange way. Yet, there is something about this home that calls out to me. It seems like the home of a bankrupt aristocrat, everything is very beautiful, yet slightly decaying. I suppose that is the intent. In any case, it is a lovely place and I'm sure the owners adore it.
Apologies "effect" should be "affect". I think... Perhaps I should have written "nostaligia has a strange effect on me" - I think that would have been gramatically correct. Sorry, carry on.
