Over the last several years silhouettes in children's rooms and the home in general have taken off. It's an old craft made new again, but in the never ending search to shake things up a bit, we came across these Paper Cuts from designer Olly Moss. Forget putting your children's shape on the wall, try putting one of their favorite characters instead.
Where many projects of this nature would require some Photoshopping, we're thinking you could literally hold a piece of tracing paper against your screen to get the general idea of your kids' favorite character. You could do it the other way as well, but since you're not printing out the shapes, just cutting them from paper, it would be easy enough to trace right on screen.
Check out Olly Moss' full collection of Paper Cuts on his blog (which might be a little sluggish), there are so many to oogle, it's sure to get your creative juices flowing.
Will you make them a movie character? Their favorite book character? Share your ideas on what (or who) would translate well into silhouette below.

Shaw's Original Fir...
I saw these a few weeks ago! My hubby and I liked the idea of the Disney characters like Snow White in silhouette and want to do that for our nursery (fingers crossed its a girl, that is!)
These are so fun! I did a DIY version of one of my daughter's favorite book characters: lyle the crocodile for our playroom art. I used paint chips and it turned out pretty cute:

oh, those are great!
Love!
I have an Elliot - that first one would be so great in his nursery.
Wow! Want to start making silhouettes of Peter Pan in the sky right away!
