When we came across Penny, an artist that creates pictures sewn from fabric and thread, we expected a house as delightful as her craft. And Penny delivers--her home is a mix of eclectic vintage finds with a modern twist. More views after the jump!

Wall to wall books and a reading nook make this space inviting. We love the addition of a modern drum shade and painted antlers thrown into the mix.

Chairs from an old movie house stay put by attaching them to a simple board.
Throughout the house, vintage wallpaper is the backdrop for unifying the old with the new.

Handheld mirrors and a blue vintage Dyers sign make this bathroom complete.

Not a fan of that kind of wallcovering but it really works here. Love the living room, all the white walls and floors with the great mix of rustic and antiques, lovely.
The red lamp shade really pops, such a beautiful color.
this is great. breaks the mold for all the other spaces you see on AT that, while beautiful, will only be yawn-worthy in a few years. timeless, comfortable, and classy. it has the familiar feeling of being the kind of home you might have grown up in, and is updated without being faddish.
Quite a breath of fresh air on AT today! I love how unique and personal her style is-- it is what makes her home so beautiful and charming. This is the kind of post that reminds me to just follow my instinct and create what feels in line with my aesthetic sensibilities, instead of staying within trendy boundaries.
Wow - what a great eye for shapes & colors. Timeless set up.
Enchanting, indeed! This place has a touch of victorian (love the wallpaper) in a modern way, with some quirky pieces added....such as the old theater seats at the table. I also love the bathroom with the green tiles. Very sweet and homey!
I love this home!
I really love this. This has soul, but happily veers away from dusty or dumpy. Never been a fan of wallpaper, but this could make me a convert. Is one of my all time favorites on AT!
love the vintage sign in the bathroom... suggestions of where i can find? thanks!
Lovely just lovely. And done in a way that is personal and timeless, not follow-the-herd trendy. I love the mix of the heavier and more delicate furniture.
I also like that I can just scroll down and look at all the pics instead of having to hit one thumbnail at a time.
I love everything about this. And it's not just because I like this style (though I do)... it is just so WELL DONE. So well put together, and such a fresh interpretation of traditional. I'm tired of all the cookie cutter MCM and Hollywood Regency stuff on AT. It is really overdone at this point (I sold most of my MCM stuff about 5 years ago...).
Thanks also for the improved format; I really dislike the "click the thumbnails" format.
love it all! Wish I could live there... beautiful soothing colors
"delightful" is just the word.
I think this might be my favorite interior in awhile. Very cozy, warm, but not cluttered.
Love it....the floors, wall to wall books, tiles in bath. This home looks fresh and unpretentious throughout. Perfect.
love this place- gorgeous! I have never thought to put our old theater seats up to a table like that!

The bathroom is just perfect... loving the old enamelware in the corner.
I love the mix of everything! The theater seating and the wallpaper especially. Lovely!
