Laure got us excited about Valentine's Day a few weeks early with her post yesterday on letterpress cards. Since we love all things red (in moderation) we've rounded up some inspirational ways to bring red into your bedroom...

If your bed frame needs a new look--why not paint it red? Most frames are paintable as long as you prime them beforehand.

We love this small but stand-out bench in the master bedroom. In a sea of gray, this fabric covered seating bench is a main focal point of the room.

Sometimes, adding a pop of color is as easy as changing your bedding.

We have two chairs in our bedroom that we found at local thrift stores (for under $6 each). With a shiny coat of red paint--the bedroom starts to get a makeover.

This DIY lamp idea came from an AT reader. Not only is the fixture really neat to look at, it makes a bold statement with the bright red and orange colors.

I have that duvet... it's not red, it's orange.
that bedroom looks like a torturer's headquarters
agree with Vicadin, there's something off here!
The first picture looks like a monsastic cell done up for a Cardinal. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
The first one's giving me the heebie jeebies. I agree with Vicadin. It looks like a set for Hostel or Saw MCLXVI.
That first picture is totally creepy! Looks almost like a sacrificial altar of sorts.
I guess I'm the only one that likes that first bedroom, except for the light fixture which looks so cheap. What I like is the monastic look of it. Some people here have vivid imaginations filled with fright and repressed longings. Folks it's just for sleeping and other delightful activities. Nothing to fear but fear itself.
I love red, but I agree that a little goes a long way. My bedroom looks a lot like Garis' sexy brown bedroom, shown above, and I love it. It's like a cave. (It's a nice change from the rest of my house, which has been taken over by my children!)
Rosemary's baby???
i don't think anyone thought that duvet was red, it looks orange in the picture. the stool and lamp are also red.
