Check out this ingenious storage solution from designer Kenneth Brown. The pull-out drawers certainly beat storing 2,000 albums in boxes in the garage.
It almost makes us wish we had record albums.

This beats my container store cubes.
This was on his HGTV show years ago - but it's still a valid idea.
As a collector, this makes me smile. Too bad the damned post office lost most of my records years ago!
I miss his show. He was my second favorite after Candice Olsen. Now I don't have a second favorite... ~:o(
No doubt it's custom-made... :-(
Everything Kenneth did was custom. Those were definitely deep pocket redesigns....
Any idea as to how that was done?
He said similar to kitchen cabinets.
I think it would almost be better if the records faced out with some sort of 'stop' so you could flip through them easily. Its not like you can read the spines of these things.
The drawer glides would have to be fairly strong as records are heavy so I would guess he used ones similar to those for kitchen drawers.
this is the kind of practical post you only see on apartment therapy....thanks guys :)
I remember seeing this on HGTV, the room looked to me like a Hampton's inspired beach house, very well done.
Also, if you have 1.9million dollars lying around, you can buy a loft he designed in The Broadway Hollywood building. Try googling to check it out. Such a dramatic space!
I've had this in my "remodel" bookmarks since i saw the original show! Though custom, the idea is copy-able, with lower kitchen cabinets and superstrong drawer glides.
