The scarves look great as upholstery, but is the fabric really strong enough for that? Seems like it would snag very easily.
The Chanel Bespoke Silk Scarf Chair has upset me to such a degree that I now have to go and lie down.
I think silk scarves turn chairs into sculpture, since the scarves will age and split when sat upon. But the chandelier is amazing!! (Light through silk is beautiful, and the colors are jewel-like.) Witty!
Umm.. why would you put a 500$ scarf on a chair that people SIT on? It will last all of ten seconds! Dumbest idea ever.
Have to agree on the lamp (utterly gorgeous) and the framed art though, a lot of people frame vintage hermes scarves..they are a thing of beauty and an object worth collecting!
I like this idea. I have so many vintage Hermes and Oscar de la Renta scarves just lying around, not getting any love or attention. I would definitely consider repurposing as 3, 4 or 5. It looks like there is clear vinyl on top of the scarf in photo 4.
Now if I only had a practical way to display my vintage designer shoe collection...
