Mama Shelter is just round the corner from me! Great hotel too, always recommend it to friends coming to stay :)

I think half of them would keep me awake with the loud walls, the other half are kind of boring.

I had mixed feelings about the one in Das Park. The concrete and circular enclosure of a room brought out the claustrophobia in me I didn't think I had.

The Motel 6 makeover was a nice change!

IMO, most of the rooms shown are either stark and sterile or over-the-top kitschy. In either case, nobody I know could live in them for significant periods of time...
In addition, many hotel rooms are still relatively large spaces - some of which are intended to sleep 4.

For some real tiny/small-space inspiration - for function, clever storage solutions, and asthetics that won't drive you crazy inside of a week - look to the cabins of modern cruise ships.

I agree - way to busy!
As someone who stays in more than 50 hotels a year I love the look of The Westin Hotels. Clean lines, modern without being "to cool" (like the ones above) and the bed.

Definitely creative and modern, but a little too LOUD for my taste! I like the wall decal in the Mama Shelter room, though
