New York can be tough on space — even a second toothbrush might require rearranging the furniture. But a few lucky folks out there get wide open bathrooms to scrub-a-dub-dub.
And note — some of these bathrooms aren’t technically huge spaces. But you can make your space feel bigger by sticking with light colors and keeping the clutter down. Another great trick for opening up the room is floor to ceiling glass in the shower instead of a bulky tub.

that first to die for bathroom is gi-norm-ous! bigger than my living room! All you need is someone to sit there and give you a mint and towel when you are done. ha! it is too beautiful for words!
whoa I just saw the one with the antlers! that one is the coolest space! SEXY!
These bathrooms are beautiful! As lovely as they are, I do not get too down about having a small bathrooms. There's something that makes me feel agoraphobic about being naked in such a wide open space. My little bathroom is psychologically comforting.
I really don't get the gi-normous bathroom thing. I just want to get in, do my business, and get out. It's the last place I would want to lounge, sip coffee in the morning, or whatever.
I can't get past the last bathroom with the furry shag carpet.
I'm okay with small bathrooms but I would love a big one. At any rate I don't care being naked in large rooms. I can also imagine spending more relaxing time there, like when I put a cure on my hair or something.
Really love the first and forth.
Size isn't everything :-)
Like some, large bathrooms at home are not a turn-on. Don't get me wrong, I like looking at them, but spending time in the bano isn't something I do, or want to do. Being very conservative, heating all these gigantic spaces makes me shudder. That gorgeous first bath would need to be excessively heated in the winter or I'd feel there was a big white bear hiding over by the towel storage. LOL
That first one must be what bathrooms in Heaven are like! Wowza! And I don't even like white on white or white bathrooms, but wow. So big and sunny but with texture and that gorgeous marble.
I love #4, so cozy and comfortable. I love the color and the wood floor, all the light and just the feel of it.
#2 is nice, but looks like a major waste of space in the middle.
I am loving all these bathrooms!

We have one big bathroom in our house, and while it wouldn't have been my first (or second, or third) choice for a use of space (the previous owners converted a medium sized bedroom in our 100 year old house into the master bath, with 2 big windows, 2 vanity sinks, a huge walk-in shower, clawfoot tub, separate toilet space, etc.), it has proven to be pretty nice. It's comfortable to hang out in there while our toddler takes a bath, or she has plenty of floor space to play while we take a shower. In the mornings getting ready, 3 people can easily use the space at once with no feeling crowded, and there's enough storage space to keep all our towels, toiletries, and lots of extras like spare soaps, TP, paper towels, cleaning products, etc. So--a good use of space where space is limited? No. A convenience and pleasant luxury? Yes. And it's not a "waste of resources" to heat, in our case, anyway. The room has the same radiator it had before it was converted to a bathroom, and we don't keep it any warmer than any other room in the house.
Gasp, some of them are absolutely beautiful!! I'm good with small bathrooms as long as they are clean and lovely, but it's true that one of my dreams is to have a huge bathroom.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the first pic? I love the actual building / space and the colors/textures/ light from window, but I don't like the way the space was utilized. The half walls near bath and commode look blocky and feel jarring to me.
#'s 5 & 6 seem reasonable. I find myself wishing for a larger bathroom but whenever I have come across a really huge one (like 1 & 2) I realize that as long as a bathroom is functional, how much space does a person really need?
The last one looks like a MRI hospital tube. Scary.
I think some of these bathrooms are about the same size as my apartment, and I live with two roommates. Although, I don't really know what I would do in such a large bathroom.
The bathroom is really large . Just same as living room
That should be called 5 star bathroom .
I had seen some bathroom like this ,there is deluxe shower room ,whirlpool spa walk in tub, toilet ,pedestal basin ,etc. All is very deluxe. Just like President's bathroom.Go to see what this bathroom have :walk in tubs
That last one I recognize from the Practical Encyclopedia of Good Decorating series. I always imagine that it's Darth Vader's private luxury bath aboard the Death Star.
