What if making your place feel welcoming trumps having a pair of bookshelf speakers greet you every time you step in the room? Perhaps it's time to take a few bold steps towards unconventional speaker placement...
Quite frankly, we think hiding the speakers underneath the media console is a great idea. This creates a more airy environment for conversation and eliminates having the focal point be electronic devices, a problem many living rooms tend to have trouble shaking off.
Sure, you might not get the best sound than if placed on speaker stands with tweeters level at your ear, but when the primary focus is people, a little decrease in the sound department is well worth the sacrifice.
