Inspiration: Summer Journal

It's going to be a long summer. We hope your kids kick back and relax for a bit, but not every day should be a lazy summer day. Why not give your kids a journal now to think about things they'd like to do this summer. Have a family brainstorming session to come up with ideas for things you'd like to make, bake, create, try, eat, read, and see.

When your kids come to you and say they're bored, just tell them to do something from their journal and send them off on their merry way!

We like this beautiful journal with artwork by Nikki McClure and sections for "Plans, Wishes, Dreams, Build, Explore, Learn, Make, Grow, Give and Find," but you can use any old notebook (just not a school notebook - it's summer!)
