Inspiration Unplugged

Inspiration comes from a lot of great sources in the digital world, from the roster of creative, well curated blogs that I follow daily, to e-mags, pinterest, and the ability to shop nearly any store, small to large, from the comfort of my sofa. The thing is all of this time spent in front of the screen I start to feel disconnected from the things that inspire me most.

While digital resources are vast, invaluable, readily available, and free(!), there are certain things they just can't replace, and after a while everything starts to feel recycled. So I'm making an effort to go out and experience more instead of just reading about it. Spend time in my garden, go for a hike, meet new people. Because the freshest sort of inspiration is what you come across when you aren't seeking it out, but when open yourself up to real life experiences.
