Last night we caught an episode of Deserving Design, with Vern Yip, on HGTV. They transformed a garage into a multi-functional playroom. One clever thing they did was use a wall of BILLY cabinets with MOREBO doors. They divided up a large photo mural and placed behind the tempered glass. It gave great visual impact to an otherwise boring wall, as well as camouflaging all the storage...
We also love the fact that they put the bookcases in the corner, which carved out a nice niche. Using the photo mural also visually enlarged the space by kind of simulating a large window. See the other details they did on the HGTV website. Has anyone does this with BILLY MOREBO doors?

I love Deserving Design with Vern Yip! I think it's a great show!
I've noticed that they use a lot of ikea stuff! The mural is great!!
The room looks quite good overall, but I can't help but wonder why they left the water heater completely open to view in the right corner of the photo. It and the garage door track left in place scream "Here I am, a converted garage!!"
Debbie Travis did this a few years ago in a kitchen...very cool.
I used wrapping paper from target because the vintage wallpaper i wanted was 100 buck a yard. also matching the pattern with repeats can be tricky so having a few extra rolls of wrapping paper wont break the bank.....
wrapping paper is a great idea hueandtimber- especially with all the vintage wallpaper designs on them lately!
They use paper in the Ikea catalog.
