Cabbages & Roses is sort of like a British Anthropologie - they carry feminine, vintage-inspired collections of clothing and housewares and their catalog has a romantic, shabby chic aesthetic. The housewares collection is generally a little too girly for our taste, but we like their approach to kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms where frilly details take a back seat to functionality, and the worn-in aesthetic works well...

a bench in a backyard storage shed

laundry bags hung on vintage hooks

linen organization

shutters on the kitchen windows and white cotton textiles in the bathroom

oh, i love this post.
everything is just perfect. perfect.
i just read an article about the cabbages & roses designer in my newest (and LAST! i can't believe they've closed their doors!) 'country homes' magazine. her design ethic is pretty much everything i personally love.
however! i certainly can't afford her beautiful fabrics...
oh, yes, indeed!
