Saw this and immediately thought it would be a great idea for our own bathroom, since our claw foot tub was mysteriously and frustratingly encased by the previous tenants. We'd just have to be sure to apply some water based varnish to protect the paper...

great idea, I have nasty vinyl flooring attached to the side of my bathtub, and through the years its molded and pealed off in places, and I just make sure I have a long enough shower curtian to hide the "floor becomes side of tub" look. . .. . maybe I'll try this, but I'm afraid whatever varnish I use might end up being sticky or not hold up to the humidity. . any suggestions?
