So, yesterday, Abby blogged about inspiring dark rooms with white furnishings...and here's the exact opposite. An all white workspace, romantic white drapes, and then that saturated hot pink chair just hits you in the eye. We particularly love the idea of the purple orchid with the green leaves giving the area a sense of color balance and relevance (personally, we'd ditch the dolls). What do you think?

I agree with you, Grace. Very peaceful, restful and soothing -- but the dolls are tacky and got to go!
yeah the dolls are freakin me out. but i love the pink chair
Love the white... love the pink!
I'd like one doll.
Just personal thought... but I often like ONE of something that might be considered tacky if there were more.
One is 'whimsy' more may be too much.
Nice look though!
I have a serious crush on that color. Never fails to me happy!
Ditch the dolls for sure. The pink chair is hot.
I like it... but the dolls creep me out.
I hate that color pink, but I LOVE the contrast of bright color against lots of white.
That chair looks like it was photoshopped that color. Love the combination here... I have a leopard print rug and bright pink cushions in my family room.... and a disco ball... not a subtle as this room I guess...
That's my happy color. It reminds me of my 70's childhood Christmases and the magenta string-lights we had on our house!!!
If the chair wasn't photoshopped, any ideas on what paint color was actually used?
I'm guessing this room belongs to a young teenage girl whose mom loves to decorate.
I remain a one-woman crusade against the term "pop(s) of color".
lol... DWF - i use "pops" all the time...
i love really neutral colors with "hits" of color. peaceful and happy.
I think the dolls are nice and I'm not a doll person. They're whimsical.
I love high contrast but I hate pink and purple! I do, however, LOVE black and white.
The photo is an ad for a new "CHEWABLE" paint... Meaning there are no toxins, so there is no danger if the children decide they want to chew on the furniture. :)
i can't help but want that carpet.
anyone know where to find it or something similar?
