We've been posting more and more about crochet chic (or knitting chic as the case may be) recently. Match that trend up with modern woodland and you've got yourself a crocheted stool that isn't too much granny or too much lumberjack. In fact it might be just right for trying out at home:
Knitting and crochet are definitely having a comeback, I mean, just look at how many knitting places there are in LA. So put those skills to work and make yourself a little cozy atop a nearby stool or add a little starch and make yourself a pendant light.

awwwwww. a total winner.
That's crazy! I just posted these stools on my blog, GirlWhimsy. I found them on Flickr! The cozy tops take these stools to another level! Love 'em!

love it but where do i get a pattern?
yummycomfycozy. I love stuff like this, it transcends styles, reuses materials and has an obviously handmade element. Me wanty.
o ick. granny squares? really?
I've been straying from my granny-chic obsessions, but I kinda love these...
As a Grannie i find these remarks offensive. They are revolting.
Yuck, really ? They remind me of something really ugly and multicolored time-warping from the 60's...
To each his own...
I guess it depends on your generation. I'm older and grew up with afghans/pot holders/pillows like this.... to the point of never wanting to see another one in my whole life.
Took me years to get rid of all the creepy ones I got as wedding/Christmas/baby gifts. I had to keep waiting for family members to die or move away so it wouldn't hurt their feelings that I gave away what they had made for me.
Beautiful stuff. Cheers!
I've had it with knitting chic.
It's a contradiction in terms.
