Working from home in a house that we've lived in for just about 6 months, my workspace is definitely still evolving. A lot. I've been on the hunt lately for some stylish, functional, and affordable desktop organization tools. Pretty demanding, huh! One of my favorite sources for items that meet all three of my requirements has really been showcasing the power of sleek supplies, lately. The desktop above belongs to Ashlina Kaposta, better known as the Decorista. She was recently featured on Poppin, my favorite office supply source, showcasing her favorite picks of their supplies. (Seriously, if you haven't been to Poppin yet, check out their listing on Marketplace! Talk about stylish, functional, and affordable...) Her compact workspace is set off with pops of white and fucsia on black laquer. Kaposta gives a rundown on her pics on Poppin's relatively new blog, pop.culture, which has recently begun posting fantastic profiles on the desks of inspiring folks.
The most recent desk is that of Dallas Shaw, a fashion illustrator and designer. I'm super excited about following this series on pop.culture and can't wait to see who they select next.
As for me? After running to my local office supply shop in a fit of organizational frustration, I came away empty handed. But pretty immediately I remembered that if I can wait the time it takes to ship, I can get exactly what I want. Which is the following, at the moment:
Outside of wire vintage style inboxes, there are very few that strike a chord with me in terms of design. These ones, however, are super sleek! I love the clean white appeal of them and their multi-directional stacking ability. At $19 for two, I can also afford to have them on my desk...big plus.
To go with? The corresponding desk set. I enjoy that all of these elements are separate, not fused together in one massive tray, as many are. The simplicity and clean lines are my favorite, along with the price tag of $19 for two sets.
Take a gander at their blog. If you're having trouble getting inspired on how to clean up your workspace, this might be just the thing you need.
