With the huge selection of colorful + vibrant + interesting fabric available these days, consider using a yard or two to freshen up a piece of furniture in your home. After the jump, check out a few ways that a few yards can change the look of your space.

[A simple addition of a colorful fabric swatch adds more life to this buffet.]
Cover a panel on your credenza. A lot of us have a buffet or credenza for our tv display/storage. If you have a panel, simply take it out, measure, cover in fabric and replace. Voila, a brand new look. If you don't have an existing place for a panel, then you can take the actual door, measure one inch in and create the look yourself. Cover a piece of strong cardboard with fabric and fasten to the door.

Add fabric to the back of a bookcase. Yep, we've covered this before on AT and think it's an easy and affordable way to enhance the look.
[This side table would look great with a fabric and glass top addition.]
Replace your table top with fabric. This is a neat and easy do-it -yourself. Take a pair of simple side tables, measure the dimensions of the top. Take the dimensions to a local glass store and have them custom cut 2 pieces of glass. (You can probably get this for about $10 - $20 per glass top). Cover a piece of strong cardboard in your fabric of choice and fasten to table. Place the matching glass top right on top and you have a brand new vibe for your side tables.
