Get the Look at Home: Disney's Frozen

Disney's Frozen isn't going anywhere. In fact, the animated juggernaut is headed to a town near you for the next Disney on Ice extravaganza, and the boat ride at Epcot's Norway Pavilion is getting a Frozen makeover with a projected 2016 launch. If an Anna and Elsa-obsessed girl in your life wants her room to evoke her favorite movie, skip the bed in a bag and licensed merchandise in favor of subtle icy accents and furniture. Here are a few ideas for a Frozen-inspired ice castle bedroom update:

  • IKEA's Stockholm chandelier ($99) projects decorative patterns befitting Elsa's castle and acrylic snowflake ornaments ($0.95 from CB2) give a modern edge to an eternal winter wonderland.
  • In anticipation of Frozen's release last year, Disney created a collection of printable vintage inspired travel posters for the fictitious kingdom of Arendelle (available here).
  • A sparkly sunburst like Z Gallerie's Radiant mirror ($149) has style that can be repurposed elsewhere once Frozen aficionados outgrow their obsession, and the same is true for the Louis Ghost Chair ($450 from Hive Modern).
  • PB Teen's Zoe vanity set ($845) will still be cool long after she lets it go. Think white, pale blue, silver, and lavender for wall color, bedding, and window treatments.
