If you want to infuse your home with color, there's no need to focus on color trends and fads. Simply select colors that you love and put them in your home. Of course, it helps if those colors work well together!
Using two patterns in one space can seem a little daunting but it's actually rather easy. If the colors are complimentary and the patterns aren't fighting each other — absolutely go for it. Just make sure to select neutral accessories and furniture to break up the explosion of color and pattern.
Color can be used in any room in almost any way. Paint an old chair a bright yellow like Weekend Carnival did — it'll pop in an otherwise muted room and you can easily base accessories off of it. There are so many fun and creative ways to incorporate a plethora of color into your home. So go have some fun with it!

Shaw's Original Fir...
The red kitchen is fabulous! Perfection.
the first picture (yellow/blue/pink) actually made me gasp - SO beautiful!
That gingko leaf wallpaper in picture 1 is very pretty, and I normally don't even like yellow.
love the posters on the second picture! and the yellow chair just stands out!
Loooooove the ginkgo wallpaper!
So nice. My favorite is #3.
I wouldn't even have a clue as to what colors are trendy for the home! I generally just dig a nice wood floor with white floors as a based punched up with different bright colors and black and white prints, image 2 is right up my alley but I admire the successful mix and match in the first pic.
kfritz345 - I had the exact same reaction. Love all of these images and am so ready to finish several projects in my home.
OMG, the 3rd picture is exactly how my living and kitchen are layed out. I've been looking all over to find a way to arrange my furnitures!! Thank you!!!
the red kitchen would not fail to wake one up in the morning, i like it
I love pops of color in a room. We've been living in an age of neutral for so long, and now, it seems, the 60's are back.
I second & third that gingko leaf wallpaper! Beautiful!
The 3rd image looks like an Emily Henderson project she did in the 1st season of Secrets From a Stylist.
WHERE can I get a sofa like the one in #3?!
