Perhaps in defiance of the country’s gray weather, strong colors are a common theme in these interiors, as are bright and airy white rooms. You’ll also see quirky nods to the history of these homes (like a castle bathroom wallpapered with posters of artwork dating from the castle’s heyday). Lovely original elements, like grand stone hearths and rustic beamed ceilings, are incorporated beautifully with modern décor choices.

Charming and artistic....I love it all!
Oh this makes me miss Ireland so much. I need to visit more than once a year... or just get a vacation home there. UGH! just look at those interiors!
Oh, I just love the Scandinavian styles and the clean, bright, modern magazine homes - till I see photos like these, and it stirs up such a longing for a home that is full of warmth, charm, and history. This is so beautiful! Thanks for giving us photos of so many different types of beauty in terms of homes.
Fantastic.
Ok. I'll give it a look when it's not too early... it gave me headaches, but I liked the little I could see ehehehe
Happy Paddy's Day to all at AT and your readers.
My favorites are the white bedroom with the colourful quilt and calm bookshelf behind the bed, and the dusty pink and warm old nursery (because it reminds me of my bedroom - it has the same fireplace and old dark wood floors).
Only one good word for this - beautiful.
do you mean
"Éirinn go brách"? Ireland Forever?
thats a phonetic/anglicised version, as my Irish teacher would have called it Bearlachás, her own word she used for words she believed were a bit like and Irish verison of spanglish. It's actually the title of a Scottish song too.
what a beautiful reminder of my mother's family home in Dublin!
I love this. Thanks for posting a non-sleek, non-modern home.
These are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. For a few more Irish interiors -- and up-to-the-minute Irish crafters:

The country that gave us Waterford Crystal and wonderful castles, is so much more today!
