It's officially hot here in the Midwest. We're talking laying on the couch in our underpants, eating popsicles and thinking about our time spent living in Alaska when we were younger. One of the greatest things about hot days is water. It's free, quenches your thirst and best of all, makes for a mess free, disappearing paint...
All you need is a regular old paint brush to get the fun started. Although things like wash clothes, pastry brushes, foam paint rollers and more can work out ok in a pinch!
It's ridiculous how long kids can be entertained without color added into their artwork. There's shapes to be made, shadows to be traced and good times to be had. Don't believe us it's fun? Check Flickr for more proof it's worth your time to bring a bucket of water outside!
(PS, water painting also works great indoors on chalkboards, just make sure to monitor the amount of water being used!)
