It's every studio-dweller's dilemma: where do you put your bed? You want easy access but don't always want your dirty sheets on display to anyone who ventures inside your space. So check out what San Francisco resident Catie Nienaber did to carve out a little extra space in her 430 square foot studio (and her bed isn't behind that gorgeous Expedit. Nice try).

Look at that cute little makeshift bedroom! What a great idea. Because of the dimensions of her closet, Catie did have to use a slightly-smaller than average mattress — shorter than the average American sizing. And, it turns out, that with no windows to let in light, the cave-like space is ideal for a deep sleep.

It makes the rest of the apartment looks positively spacious. There's even room for a bike. Unheard of!
