This is one of the best ideas out there. Check out this awesome interactive play rug. Not only does it have a fun pattern, it's 3-dimensional - a dollhouse with all of the furnishings and minus the walls.

Can you imagine how many hours of fun your child will have with one of these? Add your own toy props to change things up. Each rug is made of 100% polypropylene and anti-static and anti-stain. So far we've only found these Interactive Play Rugs at Australian retailers. Anyone seen these in the U.S.?

I want the girl one for my 8-year-old. She has over run the house with castles and such. That would be a great thing to have in her bedroom so all the dolls and accessories stay put in her room, behind closed doors where we won't step on the miniature skillets and carafes of juice.
I have been looking for this rug ever since I saw it in Malaysia 3 years ago. This mat is different from others because it is somewhat 3d in that the carpet is cut to have raised hedges and other details. I still want this and I just found it on Amazon and through Uncommon Goods. Yay!!!!
