Summer Thornton is a name that should be familiar to long time Apartment Therapy readers. The tour of the condo that she shares with her husband Josh is one of our all-time most popular posts - one that both readers and editors look to often for inspiration. Well, now we can see her style at her workplace as well...

The latest issue of CS Interiors (now online, and on the newsstand soon) features an article about Summer's firm and the office that she shares with her new design partner, Whitney.

Some inspirations from the CS photos for your own work (and living) spaces:

• Bold walls work: The office features exposed brick walls but that didn't keep Summer from going with a bright, feminine all-over floral patterned wallpaper in the same room. The mix between the two patterns and textures makes for an interesting room visually and a fresh take on what works in an office space.

• Don't underestimate the power of white furniture: The all white parsons desks, file cabinets, funky occasional chairs and vintage-style credenza all give the room a blast of bright, light and happy while tying the separate areas of the room together. Chicago (especially this winter) can be a gray place and bringing a bit of reflective, light surfaces to that room with brick walls and dark wood floors makes sense on both a coordination and mood level.

• Mix it up!: Summer pulls great pieces from multiple eras for her design - from seventies standouts to much earlier inspirations. It gives a unique flavor to the space and shows off her eclectic eye for good design, no matter what the year of origin.

• Show off your personal style: This workplace gives potential clients a glimpse into the design personality of the firm without holding back or getting too buttoned up. The firm's stylish sense of humor and a good dose of glam is unmistakable and apparent to all who enter. Making the inspiration board a big part of the workplace decor also helps to underline the design direction of the firm to clients.
