VM is a condo complex in Copenhagen designed by JDS Architects and named for the shape of the plan when viewed from above. Each unit has a triangular balcony, open views, and its own unique floorplan. Since the condos have different widths and heights, residents customized the interiors according to their needs. JDS took photos of several of the different condos, and it's a real pleasure to click through and see how each space provides a brief glimpse of the people living there...

Three things:
(1)The people in these photos look like they'd name their son "Copernicus" or something like that.
(2) Note the prime view of the freeway in the first photo.
(3) Would someone get that woman a ham sandwich or something? She looks miserable...
For some reason, some of it looks dated to me.
The top of the building looks dramatic, but the bottom floor looks really old and 50's. The bottom flloor should of been a solid mass of dark glass.
The top photo with all the yellow also looks 60's to me.
Seems very cold and hard inside the units. Perhaps the photo's were shot that way.
I agree it does look dated and its just depressing. Looks like an ad for upscale condos in a really bad location.
Doesn't look at all "dated" to me. Having lived in Europe for quite a few years, (in my case, Italy) I would say the European design sensibility has always embraced bright colors, whereas that might have been just a 60s trend in the U.S.

That first picture burned my retinas! Ouch!
The first picture is completely awesome! Who cares if the view is crappy; one needn't ever look beyond the awesomeness inside! I love it when graphic elements snake around and perform multiple functions.
The balconies are kind of cool, but kind of threatening (and there would always be random dirt and such stuck in the point that you couldn't clean out...) Overall, pretty cool though.

I just don't get this. The pointy balconies in particular seem like an experiment by an architecture student trying too hard to be edgy and funky. It's just not very livable.
