What inspired you to use color? I love colour and can't imagine not being surrounded by it. I am inspired by nature and art and the world outside my window...
Color Tip: Be unafraid. Be bold. It's only paint and if you don't love it, repaint...
Colors Used: The only one I really remember is the orange..."outrageous" by Benjamin Moore
Welcome, everyone, to our Fourth Annual Fall Colors Sharing & Contest. We're looking for the most beautiful & colorful home in the world and sharing all of the great ideas we get with our readers. This year we're amping things up and hoping to do things better than ever. There are two basic phases, the Sharing Phase and the Voting Phase...
1. Sharing Phase - you comment, judges decide
The 40 best, completed entries will be posted on a daily basis for three weeks. You can view them all at anytime via our new, improved contest pages under ALL ENTRIES. During this time your comments are VERY IMPORTANT as our six judges will be choosing 16 finalists from each region based on comments and their own colorful opinion.
2. Voting Phase - you vote til you drop
Starting October 20th, finalist voting will begin on a daily basis through our new bracketed voting system, which will pit our 16 finalists against one another until only one remains. Sound exciting? We hope so.
Best, Maxwell

Fabulous! Excellent use of color. Looks very grown up and sophisticated. Some of the entries seem somewhat 'bubblegum" to me.
This is my idea of use of color. Well done. I agree with DDgal other entries seem "bubblegum".
And here I was thinking every condo/townhome in Ontario is in a Brian Gluckstein black, brown, white and beige death grip.
Fantastic show of color and that gallery of art is endlessly striking against that white wall.
Yes! Finally some Canadian content! It's time for AT: Canada. Love the Eames chairs.
Beautiful gallery style wall art. I agree with the sophisticated comments. Well done, indeed.
Oh, wow. Great place. And I want those pink striped chairs in your living room. Source info, please?
Oh, I miss London! Go 'Stangs go!
Those colors in bedroom wall: blue-black-white are the colors of the country called Estonia. First I thought it was sooo nice someone painted a flag on their bedroom, but since it´s in London...probably not intensional.
I really like the colors in themselves, and I agree that this is a much more sophisticate entry than is typical.
But (and this may just be the photography), the colors make this home feel overcast and cold, like a harsh about-to-storm morning.
I'm guessing that this is better in reality than the photographs convey because everything is done with precision and care and the overall effect is rich and restrained. With nice touches of wit.
That bedroom is gorgeous! Great use of color.
I love this. The white frames that unite the variously colored bold colorful picture, each almost its own monochromatic palette, make for such an amazingly configured gallery wall.
I also love the horizontal stripes in the bedroom, which suggest to the body to put itself into the horizontality and rest.
But seriously, when I say I love this, I mean... I really, really, really love this.
i like the colors; are harmonics, but i think the stripes are excesive
one room painted with stripes is enough
beautiful!
I love this! Especially the living room, where it looks as if the positioning of windows could easily make the room look like a cell--the use of color just makes it so interesting. I love the bedroom. Really wonderful--go Canada!
ps as a descendant of Canadians I would be very psyched to see an AT: Canada.
The bedroom stripes are awesome. Very nice space.
Fun.
Thanks for all the comments...I was on holidays and came home to an e-mail from AT saying that my entry was incomplete, thought I'd missed out, so was completely stoked to see that our home had been posted after all...yay! The Eames chairs were one of those finds that make you crazy...$20 for the pair at a second-hand store...
I totally want to copy this. It is very cool
