What inspired you to use color? I'm inspired by colors and textures found in nature with a few bright pops thrown in for good measure.
Color Tip: I've used earth tones in most of our home and we've kept the walls white to add a bit of modern edge.

Just because the colors aren't NEON bright doesn't mean it doesn't have a place in a color contest. This place has a lovely color scheme. I think it makes great use of earth tones; browns, blacks, and greys complement the wood accents. The use of brighter colors here and there are tasteful--it doesn't look like some kind of Ikea technicolor extravaganza. Kudos!
