In today's video, you not only get to meet the delightful Justin Klosky, but I (director) also make a cameo appearance, from my former life as "The Winsome Clutterer".
• The Star: Derived from his life-long struggle with the clinical form of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Justin has transformed the cumbersome disorder into an organization (Organize Create Discipline) that promotes stress reduction and manageability. Branded as "Master Organizer" on CBS's The Talk, and "Organization Expert" on the Anderson Show with Anderson Cooper-- Justin works hard to bring order to his clients' lives. With O.C.D.'s guidance and expertise clients can get through the most difficult obstacles to create a systematic approach to living.

Nomade Express Slee...
what a guy ~ can't wait for his tip!
He's a cutie, who cares if he knows what he's talking about. What was he talking about? :)
i know, right? he can use those dimples of his for extra storage, dang.
All I can write is, I sent this video to some family members and friends who are junk-hogs.
Sorry, but what is the purpose of this video? Is it an ad? I didn't see any tips or takeaway info... I'm sure the guy has some great ideas but I feel like the video was a waste of time.
GREAT! So looking forward to more Justin videos, Camla
I'm in- get me organized Justin because I am missing part of the organization gene.
I have met him...and he is a joke. Really... do you need a little hipster phony telling you to throw things away...? Really?
I expected more from this site...
Well, I don't know who Remy10 is, but for all of you who need help finding systems for your life and creating organization in any of your surroundings, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have!
Remember that the O.C.D. Experience isn't just about organization, but creating the discipline in your life to maintain the organization. We have a few videos that we worked on that will be released over the next few months, but please don't be shy as I am here to help!
Justin
Cool! I'm looking forward to Justin's tips for developing organizational systems for streamlining physical space and ultimately decluttering the mind. I live in a tiny 250sf place which can get overwhelmed in no time. I appreciate his approach which seems heartfelt and charming.
I don't know what the heck Remy10 is talking about, but I met this dude at a taping of "Anderson" in New York City a few months back.
He sat there with me for a few minutes and gave me some tips on organizing my home as well as my mind... because let's face it... organization is as much mental as it is physical.
Justin, if you're reading this, thank you so much for what you taught me.
My home is looking so much better!!
Trust me everyone, this guy is the REAL DEAL!
Justin! This is great! I love being able to understand how to approach the disorganization. I also agree with you that most of us work under a guise of organization but are unable to function. :)
Can't wait to see more!
Justin, what a great mission you have in life. Welcome to the AT community! Yay!
I have long wondered and been frustrated at people leaving things out after they are done with them (thinking of hubster, kids). Hmm, seems like it is a discipline (according to Justin) which makes total sense. How do I help others get to the next level?
I don't understand how this wouldn't be an AT issue. Justin seems to address/teach the how-to for functioning & expressing yourself in a healthy way through your living environment. That's why I study AT, anyway--to see & learn methods of healthy self-expression through people's homes, etc. I am currently decluttering, although I find once I have it bagged, I have a hard time getting it to the donation box. ugh! Help!
I am seeing progress, though. I came into my house yesterday and it looked---clear & surprise-company clean ! It's not sterile looking, but most things were put away, which is a big deal in a very small space with 4 inhabitants. I would not have been embarrassed had someone come over unannounced. It's taken 2+ weeks of just plugging away a bit a day, but that seems to be the key-plugging away a bit at a time.
the before and after's were very dramatic. Any chance of posting the stills?
love that work spaces are included, too. looking forward to more.
Looks like Justin is taking a potential problem (OCD) and turning it into a strength. In this land of plenty, where everybody has too much stuff, he seems to have zeroed in on a useful service too. Brains, heart, and a face that the gods designed for TV -- an auspicious combination. Good luck, Justin.
I'm sorry.. I didn't hear one word he was saying.. was concentrating more on his dimples... He is so cute.. ..OK.. I was listening... And I think he is so interesting. How young he was to have organized his Parents space.. I think that is what I need someone to come in and show me how to organize my space..
And I think he is so right when he said that people would live better being organized.. Because when things are in their place.. Everything looks so nice and your mind works better...
Well hey there Rebecca B. I met you Sat. night (premiere party) but had NO idea you were also part of AT which I've been following for quite some time. Cool. Good luck to you and Justin!
I wonder what kind of reaction his parents had after the house re-organization?
Hey all...so my parents reacted in a positive way toward me at first but weren't too happy with my grandmother who was taking care of me at the time. It is funny to see how my parents react now and are yearning for more order and organizational discipline in their lives as they get older.
I truly appreciate all of the incredibly positive feedback, flattering comments and support here at AP and am looking forward to bringing you some out-of-the-box, helpful tips to organize and create discipline in your lives.
Justin,
Looking forward to more of your videos. It's impressive that you've taken OCD and used it to your advantage. I'm a lifelong neatnik and I'm constantly dreaming up new ways to organize for friends and family. Please add a video regarding space planning or environmental design. I'm sure you could show us some great ideas in this area.
Regards,
Frank
Well done Justin! Bringing awareness to the mental cleanup we all need. I'm with FCAGNETTO, it's truly inspiring the way he's transformed what most would consider a debilitating disorder into an empowering and inspiring business. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and believes in his mission!
I would encourage you all to follow him on twitter at @justinkloskyocd
I love following his tweets!!
Thank you all for your positive comments. I have truly enjoyed working with AT and will definitely be collaborating with them more!
