Heads up, iOS 7 should now be available from coast to coast for all compatible iOS devices (a list of devices making the cut listed below). Note: you may not see an available update in iTunes unless you've upgraded to the latest version (11.1); the iOS 7 update may be available via over-the-air, accessible via Settings>General>Software Update.

iOS 7 Compatible Devices:

  • iPhone: iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5.
The iPhone 4s can be updated, but will not work with the new filters included in the Camera app, nor AirDrop. The iPhone 4, but does not support filters, Airdrop, Siri or the new panoramic photos features
  • iPad: 4th generation iPad, iPad mini.
The 3rd generation iPad is compatible but without support of filters in Camera app, Panoramic photos, and AirDrop. Owners of the iPad 2 are not recommended to upgrade to iOS 7 due to slow down and many features not supported.
  • iPod: 5th generation iPod Touch
