We here at the Apartment Therapy sites get a lot of flack from you all, our readers, for our writing style that often includes the grammatically incorrect first-person plural use of "we" when referring to one's self. Well we hear your cries and we happen to think that if grammatically incorrect third-person is good enough for the iPhone, then it's good enough for us. After seeing this overheating warning, CrunchGear points out that iPhone seems to be getting a little uppity...
As part of last week's Crazy Screenshot Friday over at The iPhone Blog, this screen grab from tedguy49's Flickr account was posted, showcasing the iPhone's "I'm too hot" warning. Apparently, iPhone does not like a 104 degree Arizona day by the pool.
It looks like a joke, but Apple assures that this overheating warning screen is 100 percent legit.
So what was the only cure for iPhone's ails? The source of the grab says, "I put the iPhone between two cold beers and it worked!" Beer really does solve every problem!

Yes, but the iPhone doesn't say "iPhone needs to cool down before you can use them". Speak in third person if you absolutely must -- but why why WHY does it have to be third person PLURAL?
That is bad.ass! I'm more and more impressed with our iphones.
uh, "we" is first-person.
What's missing here is the definite article: "The iPhone needs....." I suppose "your iPhone needs..." would also work. What would be strange in the AT "we" sense is if it said "Our iPhone needs to cool down."
