The one thing that most people mention when talking about the iPod Touch and the iPad is the lack of a camera. It seems like everyone is going to be happy about the iPod Touch, since there are reports surfacing from Vietnam that an iPod Touch will have a 2MP camera in its next iteration.
Before the iPad became the king of the tablet market, the iPod Touch made a pretty good sketch of what a tablet could or should do. It had WiFi and the plethora of apps made it a very convenient device, especially since you didn't incur any roaming charges when you used it.
Well, it looks like things will get even better for the iPod Touch. Tinhte reports that the next iPod Touch will come with a 2MP camera. Last week, they had the scoop on the updated MacBooks. This week, it's the iPod Touch. Maybe in a few months, we'll see an updated iPad with a camera.
From the stamps on the unit, it seems that it's not a final production version. However, the device is set to be updated on June 7th, so it's going to be pretty much like this. There are a bunch of details making this iPod Touch leak pretty reliable. All in all, the iPod Touch will just become even more useful, with a camera. The only other update that can be foreseen is the addition of a second smaller webcam in the front of the device for two-way videoconferencing or Skyping.
