One of our "must stop" destinations when making weekend trips to Michigan is Ipso Facto, located in Three Oaks. A wonderfully curated collection of vintage and antique goods makes for a fun shopping break in between beach, apple picking
and ice cream
outings. On our last visit, we snapped some photos, jump below for a slideshow look at the shop
We've been shopping at Ipso Facto for years now, since our first visit to Michigan. It has since expanded, adding an entire second level to the shop and nearly doubling the amount of goodies in store.
One of the things we like best about Ipso Facto is that it is truly eclectic - there is no one overriding style or era represented here, which makes it all the more enjoyable to browse through. Mid Century, seventies, mod, Americana, Scandinavian modern, industrial, Asian antiques - it is all on offer, but what brings it together is owner Brandon Nelson's eye for good design and a quirky sensibility of what will work together. He carries everything from small decorative pieces right on up to furniture. The selection of wall art is especially good, as is the vintage lighting. A small but interesting collection of Tribal Art is also featured.
Ipso Facto is located at 1 West Ash in Three Oaks, Michigan, 269.756.3404. The hours are Friday through Monday, 11am to 6pm or by appointment.
